Boy's mom bakes apple pie as gift -

Louis Jacobs (IRAQ) - The ghost of former Arizona Cardinals football player and U.S. army hero Pat Tillman, who was reportedly killed by friendly fire in Iraq has reportedly been seen by a 12 year old Iraqi boy. "There was blood on his uniform and he looked terribly sad," Safiy-Allah, who lives in the city of Tikrit not far from where the former countr's leadear, Saddam Hussein was apprehended. "Although he looked sad, he was very friendly and spoke of his desire to have a hot and fresh homemade apple pie with a cool sip of water. Also he spoke of his desire to see the devastation that had taken place in our country. I invited him back to my house where my mother promptly gathered the ingredients to prepare for him a homemade apple pie. I prepared for him a glass of water and placed it upon our table. He couldn't drink it. It wasn't very cold. But that wasn't the reason he did not drink it. Ghost can't drink water. And the ghost of the soldier Pat Tillman cried out in prayer saying, "God have pity on me and let this boy dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' But God replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while the boy received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between you and he a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from there to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to him."  Seeing Mr. Tillman's distress, my mother hurried to pour the filling upon the crust and put them into the oven. Suddenly Pat  cried out, "Then I beg you, God, send this boy to my father's house, for I have brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment."  In great concern, I dipped my finger into the glass and rushed to the American soldier's side. Then, suddenly, in a great wind, God replied, "They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them." I pulled a chair to his side to stand upon so to be able to reach his mouth. But he turned away and said "'No, God, but if someone as this child goes to them, they will repent." I reached to place my finger's tip upon his tongue but went crashing to the ground.  Finally sounding as the roar of a great ocean, God's voice said to him, "If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead."   A terrible cry the ghost spirit wailed.  I cried with him too. But it was how his face lit up with a smile when the apple pie started smelling good. It was almost as if he could smell it too!

Sorry America, No War Heroes in Iraq
Publlisher Editorial

'On the idea of "War Heroes" in Iraq' There are no 'American' war heroes in the war on Iraq, neither here at home nor there on the front. A hero has a noble and recognizable cause. Too our country suffered no threat of harm from Iraq. More killing and destruction has been done under our occupation in Iraq, than under Saddam's. It is a stretch of our imaginations to call what we're doing in Iraq noble or heroic. While heroism isn't the adjective for our soldiers, however, there is an adjective we can still be proud to call them: fighters. Our sons and daughters and brothers and sisters are fighters! It takes courage to fight and particularly for an unknown cause. In this aspect of who they are we can be proud of them; of what they are doing, though, many of them express shame. Can we express otherwise? Holding the flag high: Larson Devrny, publisher
